What affects pricing

- Mall location vs strip vs free standing (loading access varies)
- Whether inventory goes to donation, liquidation, or disposal
How retail cleanouts work
- 01
Walk through and quote
We come to the store, look at fixtures and remaining inventory, and give you a written flat rate within 24 hours.
- 02
Coordinate with property management
For mall and strip mall locations we coordinate loading dock access, freight elevator scheduling, and parking permits if needed.
- 03
Inventory handling
Leftover inventory can go to donation (Goodwill, Salvation Army), to liquidation partners, or to disposal. You decide.
- 04
Disassemble and load
Most retail fixtures break down. Gondolas come apart, mannequins disassemble, shelving unbolts. We bring drill kits and the right tools.
- 05
Broom clean and turn over
After fixtures are out, we sweep the floor, dust, and leave the space ready for landlord inspection. Photos provided.
Retail cleanouts done before your lease deadline
Retail cleanouts are timed against a lease end deadline that is often within 30 days. If you miss the move out date, you typically owe another month of rent. Texas Junk Boyz runs retail cleanouts on tight timelines, including after hours and weekend work so we can complete during a mall or shopping center off hours window. We have done store closings for clothing retailers, jewelry stores, electronics shops, restaurants, salons, and small franchise locations across Fort Worth, Crowley, Burleson, Mansfield, and Arlington.
Fixture disassembly is the heavy lift. Most retail fixtures (gondolas, four ways, T-stands, slatwall systems) are designed to break down for shipping, which means they also break down for removal. We bring cordless drill kits, allen wrench sets, and pry bars. A typical 1,500 square foot shop with full fixtures takes 4 to 8 hours to disassemble and load. Large stores can be a full day or multiple days.
For leftover inventory, you have options. Donation goes to Goodwill, Salvation Army, or Family Endeavors and can give your business a donation receipt. Liquidation partners pay pennies on the dollar but pick up. Disposal sends it to the landfill. We can route to any of the three based on what makes sense for your inventory type and condition.
For mall locations, we coordinate with property management for after hours loading dock access. Most mall property managers prefer cleanouts happen overnight (10 PM to 6 AM) so foot traffic is not affected. Strip mall and free standing locations are easier because we can pull trailers right up to the storefront.
On refrigerated equipment (deli cases, walk in coolers, freezers), removal requires refrigerant recovery per EPA Section 608 rules. We coordinate with a certified HVAC partner for refrigerant recovery, then we remove the unit. This adds a step but it is the right way to do it.
