The dumpster rental market in Fort Worth is dominated by national franchises, and the way they quote is the problem. You get a low base rate on the phone, then the invoice adds per-ton disposal, a fuel surcharge, and an environmental fee, and the number you actually pay is nothing like the number you agreed to. We quote one flat rate that already includes delivery, seven days, pickup, and the dump trip. On a standard residential load that is the whole price.
Fort Worth is not one delivery problem, it is several. The older neighborhoods inside Loop 820 — Fairmount, Ryan Place, Berkeley, Poly, Rosemont — were platted with narrow driveways and rear alley access, and on a lot of those streets the alley is genuinely the better drop. We do alley placement where the alley is passable and clear. The postwar southwest side around Wedgwood, Westcliff and Ridglea has the wide flat driveways that take a 20 yard without any thought. Far north and the newer Alliance-area builds are fine on driveway but the drive time is real, which is why we quote next-day up there rather than same-day.
The other Fort Worth specific: right-of-way. Placing a container in a Fort Worth street or on the public right-of-way is a permitted activity, and in the historic districts and near Magnolia and the Near Southside it is enforced. Driveway and alley placement on your own property is not. If your only option is the street, call the city before you book so we are not both stuck.
