Process

How construction debris pickup works

  1. 01

    Tell us the project

Text 817-655-5655 with a photo and tell us roughly what you are working on (bath remodel, kitchen tear out, etc.). We quote a flat rate.

  2. 02

    We schedule around your crew

For active jobsites we can come daily, weekly, or end of project. For DIY homeowners we usually do one big haul at the end.

  3. 03

    Load and haul

We load by hand into our trailer. We bring brooms and shovels for the small stuff and dolly larger pieces ourselves.

  4. 04

    Recycle where we can

Metal goes to scrap. Lumber to wood waste recyclers when possible. Drywall and mixed debris go to the C&D landfill. About 25 percent of construction loads get recycled.

Construction debris removal for homeowners and contractors

Renovation projects generate more debris than most people expect. A standard bathroom remodel pulls 1 to 2 tons of waste between the old tub, vanity, tile, drywall, and trim. A kitchen remodel doubles that. A whole home renovation can easily produce 5 to 10 tons. The local landfill charges by the ton for construction and demolition (C&D) debris in DFW, typically $50 to $75 per ton, plus a gate fee. Hauling it yourself in a pickup truck is one of the most expensive ways to do it once you factor in fuel, time, and your back.

Texas Junk Boyz handles construction debris two ways. For smaller jobs, we come and haul whatever is piled up. Flat rate by trailer volume. For larger projects, a dumpster rental ($449 to $649) usually makes more sense because you can fill it as you go without needing a labor crew every few days. We can help you pick which option fits.

We work with both DIY homeowners and licensed contractors. For active jobsites we can do weekly or daily pickup if the project is generating a lot of waste. For homeowners doing one room remodels, usually one big end of project haul is the cheapest path. Many of our contractor customers in Fort Worth, Crowley, Burleson, and Mansfield call us specifically because we are local, we answer the phone, and we show up when we say we will. National haulers and big franchise dumpster companies often miss windows, which is expensive when a remodel crew is waiting on the dumpster to be emptied.

On materials we can and cannot take, the rules are pretty simple. We handle drywall, wood, tile, flooring, fixtures, cabinets, doors, windows, insulation, and most mixed C&D debris. We do not take asbestos containing materials. If your home was built before 1980 and you are tearing out original tile, vinyl flooring, popcorn ceiling, or insulation, you should have it tested before we haul it. We can refer you to a local asbestos inspection service. We also do not take liquid paint, chemicals, oil, batteries, or pressurized cylinders.

Common questions

Answers, no run-around.

If you don't see your question here, just call or text. We're happy to walk through it.

How much does construction debris removal cost in DFW?

A small bathroom remodel typically runs $189 to $349 with Texas Junk Boyz. A kitchen tear out is $349 to $479. Whole home gut renovations are quoted after a walk through, and a dumpster rental ($449 to $649) is often cheaper for larger projects.

Do you do jobsite cleanup for contractors?

Yes. We can come weekly, daily, or end of project depending on what your job is producing. Many local contractors in Fort Worth, Crowley, Burleson, and Mansfield use us as their go to debris hauler.

Do you take concrete?

Small loads of concrete chunks yes (broken slab, sidewalk pieces). Large concrete loads need a dedicated concrete hauler because of weight limits on our trailer. Call us with photos and we will tell you which option works.

What about asbestos?

We do not haul asbestos containing materials. If your home was built before 1980 and you are tearing out original tile, flooring, popcorn ceiling, or insulation, get it tested first. We can refer you to a local inspector.

Do you take roofing shingles?

Small loads yes, like a single garage or shed roof. Full house roof tear offs are tonnage heavy and usually go in a dumpster rental we drop off at the start of the project.

Do you provide dumpsters for renovations?

Yes. 12, 14, 16, and 20 yard dumpsters delivered to your driveway. See our dumpster rental page for sizing and pricing.
